DSU APPLICATION FILLING IN ONLINE

First year students: Please create a new Account from DSU website

Second year students or already Account holder: Directly log in your person page.

You will find the following in your page up on click "RESTRICTED AREA with your name. "if you are the second year student it show like below photo.... even it is same for first year student but it cannot show 2014/2015 details.


Then click on ENTRA option that show below the 2015/2016  domande. after that it show like that

Step2: Family situation:
1.      Mention your Country
2.      Mention you have any minor child YES/NO

Step3: Income and Assets:
You must attach to the application of scholarship and / or accommodation you are preparing on line appropriate documentation issued by the competent authority in the country where the income was produced and translated into Italian by the competent Italian diplomatic authorities, stating:
v  The composition of the nuclear family;
v  The gross income earned abroad in 2014 by each member of the family unit
v  Any residential complexes owned abroad by each of them as of 31/12/2014, with specified its surface square metres
v  The movable assets (bank balance) available abroad on the same date 31/12/2014.
Then click on Go to next.

Step 4: University Career:
Type of degree: select masters degree two years (second option)
Membership Type: In progress
For engineering student please select the Department as Information Technology and Mathematics   
For first year students avoid the Freshman, Credits gained options

Step 5: Transfer, Waivers and graduation previous:
            If you are the student of abroad and first time Course joining in Italian education please select all options with NO
            Degree obtained abroad should be filled properly ......first level(3 year degree or 4 year degree ) second level (master degree).

Step 6: Other Information:

ANNOUNCEMENT FOR THE GRANTING OF SCHOLARSHIPS FOR THE 2015/2016 ACADEMIC YEAR



ARTICLE 8
FOREIGN STUDENTS AND ITALIAN STUDENTS LIVING ABROAD

Foreign students, Italian students living abroad, displaced students, political refugees and
students asking for political asylum enrolled on or who intend to enrol on the courses detailed
in article 3 may take part in the competition to obtain benefits.

Foreign students who live with their families in Italy, without income and/or assets abroad, are
considered equivalent to Italian students for all purposes, and therefore also for the
purposes of determining their financial status. They must therefore obtain the ISEE Certificate
by submitting the Self-Declaration to a tax assistance office (CAF).

As well as having to fill in the online application, the other foreign students must prove that
they meet the financial and household requirements set forth in article 7, by means of the
following documents to be attached to the paper form of the application:

A) Students from the European Union
Self-Declaration, filled in by the student on the dedicated form, concerning the gross income
earned abroad in 2014 by each member of the household, any buildings owned abroad by each
of the members as of 31/12/2014, specifying their surface area, as well as the personal assets
available abroad at the same date.
Any rent charges borne for the house of residence of the household shall also be declared.

B) Non-European Union Students
Specific documents issued by the competent Authorities of the Country where the income was
generated, where the buildings are owned and the assets are available, legalised by the Italian
Diplomatic Authorities competent for the area and accompanied by a translation in Italian
certified by the same Authorities.
Legalisation may be performed through issuance of an apostille for Countries signatory to the
Hague Convention of 5 October 1961.
For those Countries where it is particularly difficult to obtain a certificate issued by the local
Italian Embassy, a Certificate may be exhibited issued by the diplomatic or consular
representative in Italy of the Country where the income was generated and the assets are
owned, drafted in Italian and legalised by the Prefectural Offices pursuant to article 33,
paragraph 4 of Presidential Decree no. 445 of 28 December 2000.
The consular certificate must make express reference to the documents coming from the
Country of origin.
This document must show:
1. the make-up of the stipulated household;
2.gross income earned abroad in 2014 by each member of the household, any buildings
owned by each of them abroad as of 31/12/2014, specifying their surface area as well as
the personal assets available abroad at the same date;
3. any rent charges borne for the house of residence of the household.
NOTE:No form of Self-Declaration may therefore be accepted – self-certification, affidavit, sworn declaration.

C) Non-European Union students from the developing Countries set forth in Ministry of
Education, Universities and Research Decree no. 594 of 1 August 2014
Certification by the Italian Representative in the Country of origin or by the diplomatic or
consular representative in Italy of the Country that certifies that the student does not belong
to a known high-income or upper class family; for the purposes of quantifying the amount of
the ISEEP and ISPEP indicators, the value of both indicators is indicated as €0 in this
certificate.
This certificate may also be issued by Italian Organisations licensed to loan securities for
financial coverage pursuant to the current provisions concerning the registration of foreign
students in Italian Universities; if this is the case, the Organisation issuing said certificate
undertakes to return the scholarship on behalf of the student in case of revocation.

D) Stateless students or political refugees
The parties concerned must prove this “status” using the official documentation issued to them
by the Civil Court, for stateless students, and by the specific Commission established by the
Ministry of the Interior, for political refugees.
These students are exempt from submitting declarations issued by Embassies and Consular
Offices. Only income and any assets which may be owned in Italy will be taken into
consideration when assessing the financial status.

E) Students asking political asylum
The students who asking political asylum may apply for granting of the scholarship with the
same way of political refugees; however the grant of the scholarship shall remain suspended
till it shall be granted the status of refugee. Once the status of refugee shall be granted, the
student obtains the right to receive the scholarship amounts and may use the services
connected thereto (use of the canteen and place in accommodation). There shall be no
reimbursement for meals not eaten or for failure to benefit from the Accommodation Services
during the period of suspension of the scholarship.
Italian students who are resident abroad and who intend to take apply for the scholarship
and place in accommodation must attach the abovementioned documentation concerning their
Country of residence to the paper copy of the online application.
Foreign students shall also always declare the income and any assets owned in Italy by his or
her household.

NOTE:
Income and/or personal assets abroad will be assessed based on the mean exchange rate of
the Euro for 2014 as stated by a specific next-approval act of the Director of Revenue. If at the
date of publication of the provisional ranking, the above mentioned act on mean exchange
annual rate is not available, shall be applied the act of the Director of Revenue of 14/01/2015
related to the mean exchange rate for december 2014. Buildings owned abroad shall be
understood as being assessed at €500.00 per square metre.

Example: 25 sq. metre house : 25*500=12,500 euros. please check while mention in house in square metres. so Ur house area should not above the 66 sq. metres.



THRESHOLDS OF THE FINANCIAL STATUS AND ASSETS INDICATORS

The ISEEP and ISPEP amounts of students with disabilities applying for the benefits must not
exceed the upper thresholds shown below:

ISEEP €20,000(income)
ISPEP €33,000(property)


DEADLINES FOR SUBMITTING THE APPLICATION

The aforesaid deadlines must be observed by all students, including those who can only enrol
for the 2015/2016 academic year after the dates shown, after having passed tests or entrance
examinations (students on specialization courses, PhD students, those applying for
Announcements with limited places, etc.).


APPLICATION SUBMISSION METHODS
It is compulsory to fill in the application for the scholarship and allocation of the place in
accommodation online at www.dsu.toscana.it. At the end of the IT data input procedure, the
student must enter a PIN, which, for those who are not yet in possession of the same, is
automatically sent to the email address specified upon registration. The application will then be
considered signed with a cutting-edge electronic signature and the details will be automatically
sent to the Agency.
The application is deemed valid if sent using the following methods:

B.1 STUDENTS WITH HOUSEHOLD RESIDING IN ITALY AND WITH INCOME AND/OR ASSETS ONLY IN
ITALY
should send the application via the website only

B.2 STUDENTS WITH HOUSEHOLD RESIDING ABROAD AND WITH INCOME AND/OR ASSETS ABROAD
should send the application via the website, print the corresponding form and submit
it using the methods specified below, attaching the document required as set forth in
article 8. Documents must be attached to application in original version. If the student
need a copy of the documents, the copy has to be supplied at the submission time of
application.
Only those students who are required to submit the printed application must proceed
in one of the ways below:
